Yesterday, you got to see my list of the Top 10 forwards in UK history, and where I thought PPat should be ranked when his career is over here at UK.  I was actually surprised at how many people said Patterson was "overrated" considering his individual statistics match up to anybody not named Issel.  And with what should be great tournament success this year, Patterson's resume should be a lock Top 5.  Also, I now probably regret putting Dan Issel into the Top 10 forwards list, as it is true that he generally played the 5-spot in college.  My reasoning was that he was 6'8'', making him a forwards size.  But, as you will see today, I put a couple guys 6'6'' and below in the center category because that is where they played at UK.  So, it goes without saying that Issel is the best center in UK history, but since I put him in yesterday's list, I am leaving him off today's.  And, at last check, the poll on the website about who you thought was the best forward in UK history turned out this way: -Dan Issel: 58% -Jamal Mashburn: 27% -Patrick Patterson: 8% -Kenny Walker: 5% -Jack Givens: 3% Top 10 UK centers (without Cousins or Issel) 1. Mike Phillips Current UK ranks: 25th in points, 19th in rebounds Career: 120 games, 11.4 ppg, 6.3 rpg Notes: 1 National Title, 1 NCAA Runner-up, 2 Final Fours, 3 All-SEC TBD: Demarcus Cousins Current UK ranks: 148th in points, 28th in blocks Projected UK ranks: 116th in points, 19th in blocks Career: 26 games, 16.1 ppg, 10.1 rpg, 1.8 bpg Outlook: Out of the three categories, this is probably the weakest in UK history.  Groza, Hagan, and Nash are all-time great college basketball centers.  But, when I look at the 10 names above, I just have a hard time putting Cousins above Turpin.  I would put him at 9th right now, but like Wall, for the first time in UK history, its a struggle to know where to rank these guys who are only going to be here 1 year.  Cousins is without question one of the 5 most "talented" centers in UK history, if not the most talented.  But, his resume, even with a national title, doesn't even compare to Mike Phillips, who is 10th on this list.  But, from my standpoint, with a national title, I can see myself putting him 8th AT BEST.  And if the Cats were to not make the Final Four, I think you can argue Cousins doesn't belong in the Top 10. _____________________________________________________________ -OK all you over-sensitive fools, Pat Forde wrote something positive about UK.  Now everybody who gets worked up over a sports writer's column can get their panties out of a bunch.  Point being, we are 26-1 right now, so why do we really care if Pat freakin Forde writes something bad about Cal.  People that are going to hate UK already hate us, so Forde really can't move the needle on that.  So why do we care?  (Here's looking at you, Will Lentz)  -Squash players are taking their sport a little too seriously these days, and I don't care if it was the national championship match or not.  Bet he wouldn't have gotten in the face of that old man on the bus.  -THIS is why you generally have to send a resume TAPE to a TV audition
