money-pppp Remember yesterday when I listed all of the career earnings of UK draft picks under John Calipari, which came out to nearly $200 million dollars of earnings with another $251 million in earnings already under contract for future seasons.  And that doesn't include any of the money that the 7 guys headed to the NBA this season will earn.  I argued John Calipari could have ONE BILLION dollars in player earnings if he stays at Kentucky for 10 years. A commenter made a good point.  What about Louisville?  Well, that list is much easier to calculate.  Despite being the coach at Louisville for 14 seasons now, Rick Pitino has only put 8 players into the NBA (10 after Rozier and Harrell are drafted this year).  Combined earnings of those guys: Francisco Garcia (2005): 10 seasons, $31.04 million Earl Clark (2009) 6 seasons, $10.38 million Terrence Williams (2009): 4 seasons, $6.94 million Reece Gaines (2002): 3 seasons, $4.36 million Gorgui Dieng (2013): 2 seasons, $2.76 million Samardo Samuels (2010): 3 seasons, $1.60 million Russ Smith (2014): 1 season, $0.82 million Peyton Siva (2013): 1 season, $0.10 million TOTAL: 30 seasons, $58.00 million 14 years at UL, 58 million NBA dollars for Pitino.  6 years at UK, 200 million NBA dollars for Calipari.
