BTI's Rants and Ramblings: Where Would Wins In Every Game This Year Rank in the Stoops Era?

by:Bryan1308/01/17
Mark Stoops has already had some quite memorable wins as Kentucky head coach.  Below, I list 5 that I think we always be remembered in UK lore.  But are there games on the schedule this year that could surpass any win that has already occurred in the Stoops era? Below I list every one of Stoops wins so far in 1 of 3 categories: Memorable Forever, Oh Yeah That Happened, and Completely Forgettable.  And then I put where I think each of the 12 games on the schedule will fall should Kentucky pull out a win. Obviously, things such as how the win happens (last second score), individual performances, or unforeseen developments in the season could change where these wins would go, but this is where I would see things now: MEMORABLE FOREVER 2016: at Louisville 41-38 2017: Florida (chance to end the streak would be huge program step) 2017: Louisville (always great to beat Cards, wouldn't top last year though) 2014: South Carolina 45-38 2015: at South Carolina 26-22 (Stoops first SEC road win) 2017: Tennessee (beating the Vols is always going to be memorable) 2016: Mississippi State 40-38 2017: at Georgia (Stoops hasn't done well against Dogs, chance to change that) 2015: Missouri 21-13 (first win over ranked team) OH YEAH.....THESE HAPPENED 2014: Vanderbilt 17-7 (Stoops first SEC win) 2017: at Southern Miss (chance at some payback on the road) 2017: at Mississippi St (the kind of game aspiring programs win all the time) 2016: Vanderbilt 20-13 2017: at South Carolina (road wins are nice but Gamecocks are way down) 2013: Miami (OH) 41-7 (Stoops first win) 2016: South Carolina 17-10 2017: at Vanderbilt (always tricky, doubtful this game isn't tough) 2016: at Missouri 35-21 2016: New Mexico St 62-42 (largest point output in Stoops era) 2017: Ole Miss (probation ridden Rebels shouldn't be an issue) COMPLETELY FORGETTABLE 2017: Missouri 2015: UL-Lafayette 40-33 2014: Ohio 20-3 2014: Louisiana-Monroe 48-14 2017: Eastern Michigan 2015: Eastern Kentucky 34-27 2017: Eastern Kentucky 2014: Tennessee-Martin 59-14 2013: Alabama St. 48-14 2015: Charlotte 58-10 2016: Austin Peay 49-13
