Yesterday, members of the Kentucky men’s basketball team and Coach Cal delivered backpacks stuffed with food for less fortunate kids to local elementary schools Picadome and Cassidy.  Cal was joined by Jon Hood, Doron Lamb, Jarrod Polson and Enes Kanter.  Let me be the first to say, this Calipari guy ‘get’s it.’

I know these small service projects aren’t world beaters.  It’s not like Enes Kanter is fighting Lex Luthor to save Metropolis (though I no doubt he could, assuming the NCAA would let him,) but these are the projects that touch people’s lives.  If you want proof, just check out the video that Cal posted on his facebook, and read some of the comments.

As much as the haters are going to hate, it won’t stop Cal from making a difference.

Now just come to Jessie Clark next, coach.
