Cal keeps family a priority

by:Thomas Beisner12/28/09
In his standard day-before-the-game press conference this afternoon, Coach Cal tried his best to keep things focused on the might 2-9 Hartford Hawks, rather than the Louisville Cardinals.  He mentioned that the team saw Invictus last night and then, according to the Courier-Journal's Brett Dawson, answered some questions stemming from Urban Meyer's leave of absence from the Florida Gators.  Cal said that he understands how a job can "eat you up", but he tries not to let it interfere with his family time, which he says he gets by letting Brad (who still has an open invitation to challenge me in a three-point contest) tag along as much as possible and spending some time with his wife every night (does that count as talking about Louisville?).  So, long story short, don't expect Cal to depart on a leave of absence anytime soon.
