In a move that was both expected and not expected,
five-star center Caleb Swanigan just committed to Michigan State. The Spartans were considered the early favorite for the 6'8" 265 lbs. Indiana native, but all the buzz recently centered around Cal and Duke, especially the former. In fact, word spread on Twitter this morning that Swanigan was headed to Cal as part of a package deal with Ivan Rabb. That, apparently, is not the case.
Swanigan is one of many big men Kentucky's been involved with in the 2015 class, but interest from both parties tapered off in recent months. Stephen Zimmerman, Cheick Diallo, and Thon Maker are all still on the radar.
