Darrell Bird from The Cats Pause is in Sandestin for the SEC Spring Meetings this week and he has quite the quote from John Calipari regarding the likelihood Cal leaves UK for the NBA.
“It took me 20 years to get the job,”
Calipari said.
“For me to leave something like this, you’re going to have to uproot me. That’s how I feel.”
The opportunity to help young kids achieve their dreams remains Calipari's No. 1 reason for staying put in Lexington. When he spoke to Cleveland last year about taking over the Cavs, he wanted to how he could keep making a difference, because winning a title or making the Cavs money "doesn't move his boat."
