Can You Be a Duke Fan AND Want to Free Enes?
Once again, we found out tonight that the Free Enes Movement is everywhere...this time in the student section of the Cameron Crazies. But it raises the question, can a Duke student who is obviously cheering Duke, also want to Free Enes? Now I went to Duke for law school and went to every home basketball game. I sat in the grad student section (behind the basket), but I never cheered for the team....EVER. Even when not cheering made me stand out, I actively remained silent and in certain circumstances (like when UNC or Maryland would beat them) cheered for the other team. But this kid cheered for Duke AND wore the Free Enes shirt. What do we make of that? I will give the kid a pass...but just barely.
