Cant Win a Title Without Cats

The NBA Finals are over, thankfully in my view. Watching the Miami Heat win was a bit like cheering for the 1992 Dream Team, now. Everyone on the team, with the exception of Dewayne Wade and possibly Udonis Haslem, is past their prime. Gary Payton, Alonzo Mourning, Jason Williams, Michael Doleac, Antoine Walker, Derek Anderson, Shandon Anderson (yes he is alive), and even Coach Pat Riley have all seen better days. Yet somehow these band of old, washed up rock stars pulled a "Traveling Wilburys" and came up with a hit. It also confirmed an old adage. You cant win a title without a UK player. Tayshaun Prince and Nazr Mohammad proved this the last two years and now Antoine Walker and Derek Anderson confirmed it. While Walker and Anderson had different roles with Antoine learning to be a role player and Derek learning to sit the bench and braid his hair, both are former UK guys, so we have to give them love. They join a relatively exclusive list of players who have won both an NCAA and an NBA title, a list that last year Mohammed also became a member of. We here at KSR Radio salute them and hope that Antoine will give a little shimmy shake tonight for us in Lexington.
