Strange news coming out of Lexington today. After the Mississippi Valley State game, Billy Gillispie responded to a question from Brett Dawson of the Courier Journal by making a joke that they would "take the week off." He then laughed and finished, saying he couldnt wait until this week, when they could practice all week and get the kinks out. At this point however, his original statement may be correct. The Cats did not practice either Monday or Tuesday, are not scheduled to practice today and it is unclear if they will practice again until Friday. Nobody really knows why that is the case and the folks I have talked to around the team are perplexed. UK did confirm no practice occurred on Monday or Tuesday, but there is no confirmation about the rest of the week.
But what is clear is that Allen Iverson has petitioned to get another year of eligibility in Lexington
