southcarolina.jpg It was an entertaining game in Rupp Arena as the Cats withstood a South Carolina three point barrage to defeat the Gamecocks 78-70. The Cats seemed in control of the game until South Carolina began the second half with four 3 pointers to give them a 7 point lead. But the Cats showed moxie in overcoming the rally, staying with the game plan and riding Smooth down the stretch to a victory. We have a lot of interesting stuff from the postgame, including how much Perry Stevenson sleeps, Patrick Patterson describing Billy Clyde's "good rippin" and Billy Clyde himself telling us about his old playing days.
