In a result that surprised no one, Kentucky absolutley killed the LSU tigers today by a score of a lot to considerably fewer than a lot. Kentucky opened the game with two threes from Brandon Knight and never looked back. Overall Kentucky was lead by a balanced attack with four players with 15 or more, but it was the early defense that lead to transition buckets that really set the game loose. This continues Calipari’s undefeated streak in Rupp Arena, and gives LSU their first SEC loss of the season.
It can be tough to get hyped for a less than stellar opponent, but there’s not much you can do other than blow them out, and blow them out is what Kentucky did. The young Cats took care of business today, like we expected, not much more you can ask. More to come later in the day, but for now, enjoy this team folks, they’re beginning to look special.
