Cats in the NFL: Week 10 Preview

by:Brent Wainscott11/15/20
Another NFL Sunday is here as week 10 in the NFL continues at 1:00 pm ET today. I hope you've got your multi-TV setup going for today to watch the Masters and a slate of NFL games that will include six-afternoon games. For the Cats, there's not a lot of marquee matchups to really marvel at, but there are three games on this week's docket that I'm really looking at. The first one is the matchup in Miami when the L.A. Chargers come to visit the Dolphins, a team that is actually looking like a playoff contender. Lynn Bowden should be activated off the COVID-19 reserve list this week, but it will be interesting to see how much volume he gets, especially since Myles Gaskin is headed to IR. Bowden could be a very viable pass-catching option out of the backfield if he's a go today, plus every Chargers game is unnecessarily entertaining for how close each one is. I'm eyeing that game this afternoon. On my other TV, I will of course have the AFC North's most violent rivalry when Benny, Bud, and Avery take on the sneaky Bengals. The record may not be indicative, but Joey Covers is a real thing. Not to mention Mike Tomlin has a reputation of playing down to his opponent, plus the Bengals trying to be the first team to put a tally in the L column for Pittsburgh? I'm all in. Avery Williamson and Bud Dupree should have a solid day against that terrible Cinncinati O-line. Finally, on Monday night, the Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings battle to see who can really contend for the last Wild Card spot in the NFC, because they certainly aren't catching up to the Packers. The Viking and the Bears have honestly had the same season, just in reverse order, it feels like. Minnesota is hot after the resurgence of Dalvin Cook in the last few weeks, but it's Kirk Cousins in primetime against a stellar Bears defense. It might actually be a fun matchup for Danny Trevathan in week 10.
