After scoring back-to-back wins against ranked teams, the minds behind ESPN's basketball coverage restored some of their confidence in John Calipari's team, allowin them to jump to #16 in the new edition of their new weekly power rankings.  The Cats leap-frogged the Commodores to place as the SEC's second-best team (Florida is #13), while their intrastate rivals moved up four spots to #12. The rankings are based off of a group of 15 ESPN college basktball writers , researchers and TV personalities (Fran Fraschilla opted out this week).  Worth noting, of those who had them unranked last week, Fraschilla did not particpate, Forde placed them at #21, McCallum at #19, Schlabach at #18, Simon at #18, and Jay Williams at #23. Here is where each member of the panel ranked the Cats: Jay Bilas: 17 Eamonn Brennan: 17 Brett Edgerton: 16 LaPhonso Ellis: 18 Pat Forde: 21 Doug Gottlieb: 15 Andy Katz: 22 Diamond Leung: 17 Joe Lunardi: 18 Jason McCallum: 19 Dana O'Neil-Forde: 21 Mark Schlabach: 18 Miles Simon: 18 Dick Vitale: 16 Jay Williams: 23
