Cats Jump Eight Spots In ESPN's Power Rankings

After scoring back-to-back wins against ranked teams, the minds behind ESPN's basketball coverage restored some of their confidence in John Calipari's team, allowin them to jump to #16 in the new edition of their new weekly power rankings.  The Cats leap-frogged the Commodores to place as the SEC's second-best team (Florida is #13), while their intrastate rivals moved up four spots to #12. The rankings are based off of a group of 15 ESPN college basktball writers , researchers and TV personalities (Fran Fraschilla opted out this week).  Worth noting, of those who had them unranked last week, Fraschilla did not particpate, Forde placed them at #21, McCallum at #19, Schlabach at #18, Simon at #18, and Jay Williams at #23.
