Cats put'em away early

by:Katie Martin01/23/10
boogietooth Well, when the only loss of a game is some teeth, I'd say it was a good day. After a string of close SEC games where the Cats failed to put mediocre teams away in the second half, the Cats came out strong today and never looked back, beating Arkansas 101-70. Miller led the way with a career high 18 points and the Cats showed why they'll deserve the #1 spot on Monday. The boys gave Perry Stevenson a sweet birthday win and probably sealed Pelphrey's coaching fate in the process. Hood, Harrelson, and Krebs get some minutes at the end, with twelve of the thirteen players on the roster with points.  A convincing win for the Cats and a great chance to silence some critics (ahem Goodman) and gain some confidence as they enter the tougher part of their SEC schedule. We'll have more later with stats and post-game conference notes. Stay tuned.
