brandon-knight Not to be left behind by their counterparts over at Fox and Yahoo!, the fine folks at CBS released their postseason conference awards and (surprise!) Kentucky took home plenty of hardware. Well, they didn't actually take any hardware home because the awards are from a website, and because CBS doesn't have the budget for that stuff, what with the seven-figure salary demands that came along with signing Matt. But even though they won't be putting actual trophies on the mantle, the Cats still were a big part of the award discussion. Brandon Knight and Terrence Jones both were named to the All-SEC team, along with Florida's Chandler Parsons, Tennessee's Scotty Smallballs and Vanderbilt's John Jenkins, who was also the SEC Player of the Year. Knight was named Freshman of the Year, proving that someone actually watched Kentucky beyond the first three weeks of the season, and Billy Donovan got Coach of the Year honors for taking a team that was ranked #11 in the preseason polls to a #12 finish. The CBS national awards and All-America teams will be released tomorrow.
