Last week, UK announced that Charles Matthews had a minor surgery, but no one really knew for what. Today, Matthew's mother, Nichole, told CatsPause.com that
her son underwent a minor, outpatient procedure on his hip to repair some muscles, but should be fine.
"It was giving him problems during the season so we decided to go ahead and take a preventative measure," Matthews said. "We saw it coming and said, 'let's nip this in the bud.'"
Matthews' mother said her son is expected to be fully recovered in six weeks and enjoyed his first season in Lexington, especially the support from the fans.
"The fanbase was outstanding," Matthews said. "He always talks abut the fans. The fans welcomed him and welcomed me and my family. We're hoping to have an even better season next year and improve one day to the next."
Likewise, Charles. For more, check out
