2027 four-star guard Chase Lumpkin is returning to Kentucky for another visit. Now, he’ll get to take in another big-time matchup.

The 6-foot-4, 180-pound shooting guard from McEachern (Powder Springs, GA) will be visiting Kentucky for Tuesday’s game against UNC in the SEC/ACC Challenge, his father tells KSR+. This will be his second time visiting Kentucky after being in attendance for Kentucky’s exhibition win over Purdue in October.

Kentucky assistant coach Jason Hart has been the lead recruiter for Lumpkin, being in contact since the summer. Lumpkin hasn’t landed an offer from UK yet.

His Visit for Kentucky vs. Purdue

Chase Lumpkin made his first trip to Kentucky for the Purdue exhibition game on Oct. 24. He saw the Cats pull away with a 78-65 win over the Boilermakers.

“The coaching staff in total made me feel comfortable,” Lumpkin told KSR+ after the visit. “I love the campus, and I feel like it’s a place I could develop to get to the next level. I really loved it there.”

Jason Hart has come to Lumpkin’s school multiple times this year to see him play. Lumpkin sees a fit in Mark Pope‘s system.

“In his system, he really lets you do what you have to do. He lets you play your own game. I’d really fit there. He wouldn’t change up my game at all. I could be myself,” Lumpkin said. “It was a really good experience. I can’t wait to go next time for an official visit.”

Chase Lumpkin’s Game

McEachern (Georgia) four-star shooting guard Chase Lumpkin is the nation’s No. 59 overall prospect according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, an equally weighted average that utilizes all three major recruiting services. Rivals ranks Lumpkin as the No. 44 shooting guard in the 2027 class.

“I really like to work on my playmaking,” Lumpkin previously told KSR+. “Everybody knows I can score. Some games I’m not going to be able to do only that, so I like to get my teammates involved.”
