Chris Matthews Former UK football player and current Seattle Seahawks wide receiver says he wants another shot at the Super Bowl this year. During an appearance on 710 ESPN Seattle radio, Matthews said he hopes to take advantage of his performance in the big game and continue that momentum into this upcoming season. Proving 13 could be a lucky number, Matthews went from a relatively unknown player to a contender for the Super Bowl MVP award surprising fans with four catches for 109 yards and a touchdown. Thanks in part to Matthew's breakout performance, it seemed like the Seattle Seahawks could edge out a win and a consecutive Super Bowl title over the New England Patriots. However a game-saving interception at the goal line by the New England Patriots led to the Seahawks' crushing defeat. Matthews, who previously worked at Foot Locker before being signed to the Seahawks' practice squad didn't make the 53-man roster until last December. The former Wildcat said he is going into this season with unfinished business. "My expectation is for us to win. Our defense in No.1 in the league. I believe wholeheartedly that the offense can be No.1 in the NFL. We just have to work really hard. We have all the key parts," Matthews said. The NFL is back in 80 days and Kentucky Football is back in 76 in the new Commonwealth Stadium. I can't wait till football season.
