On the first third quarter scoring drive in Knoxville he accounted for 42 yards. Two drives later he provided the final score that proved to be the dagger. Expecting to see more of No. 24 against Missouri, many fans were left asking, "Why isn't Chris Rodriguez getting the ball more?" Offensive coordinator Eddie Gran as asked just that Tuesday evening. "He's had more reps than any running back I think the last two games. If they want to see my statistical sheet, they can. When you only run about ten plays in a game -- there wasn't a lot. We were awful and he didn't to chug that thing very much. We didn't do much of anything right," Gran said. "Hopefully as we continue you'll see 24 getting more carries for sure. I really like the way he's running the ball right now. Those people are right to ask that question." Gran is correct: over the last two game Rodriguez has 22 carries for 121 yards and a touchdown. Over that same span A.J. Rose had 15 carries for 65 yards. C-Rod will get the rock more if Kentucky's offense can run more plays by moving the chains and maintaining some sustained scoring drives.
