Chris Singleton schedules visit to UK

Chris Singleton

Standout forward, Chris Singleton, of the Atlanta Celtics AAU program has scheduled a visit to UK on June 11 and 12th.

Originally, this visit was supposed to be with fellow pf Celtic, Howard Thompkins, but Thompkins just verballed to the University of Georgia earlier today. The arrival of Patrick Patterson to UK may have been a factor in Thompkins decision and it obviously made him less of a "must have" player. However, it may have some lasting effects as Thompkins is close to Al-Farouq Aminu and Tony Woods, who are both Ga. big men that UK would love to land.  For those who are wondering if the "Oak Hill" connection failed UK with this player, it should be noted that Thompkins will be leaving Oak Hill after one seasons to return to his former high school, Wesleyan in Atlanta.  It seems proximity to home and family was a big factor with Howard.

In the next few days, Singleton will be publically shortening his list to his top three of Tennessee, Kentucky and Louisville.. I still get the impression that Singleton is leaning toward UT, but this visit to UK has the potential to move them up the list.
