Kentucky basketball is back to full strength leading up to its Pro Day and Big Blue Madness events in the coming weeks. After starting preseason practice down two key role players, both CJ Fredrick and Jacob Toppin returned to the floor on Wednesday.

The UK basketball team released a quick highlight video from practice, with both Fredrick and Toppin back in action for the first time since the summer.

Fredrick is shown knocking down a three from the corner, while Toppin puts in an easy layup. Both players are seen later in the video participating in five-on-five scrimmages.

Check out the highlights, which also feature dunks, blocks, and jumpers from the rest of the squad, below:

Fredrick underwent minor surgery on a preexisting leg injury back in July, which kept him out of workouts, scrimmages and practice throughout the summer and early fall. Sources tell KSR he began light workouts in late September before returning to practice as a full participant this week.

As for Toppin, sources told KSR back in early September that he was dealing with a “very minor” shoulder issue, an injury that kept him out the entire month.

Now, both players are back well in advance of Kentucky’s season-opener against Duke at Madison Square Garden on November 9.
