Coach Cal skipped Mitch Barnhart's press conference today to hit the recruiting trail but
Calipari released a statement congratulating his boss on the extension:
“On behalf of the UK basketball program I want to congratulate Connie and Mitch Barnhart on his well-deserved extension. It’s been a pleasure to work with Mitch and his dedicated staff over these two seasons and to know he will be around for the foreseeable future gives us all great comfort. We look forward to keeping UK Basketball and the entire department as the gold standard in college athletics."
We all know these two have disagreed on issues in the past so it's great to see Coach Cal applauding Mitch on the new contract.
Now if Matt can just lock Beisner up through 2020, we'll be in business. Open up the KSR checkbook!
