Coach K is full of great ideas that Calipari thought of years ago

coach-k-calipari It's now completely reasonable and acceptable to say Coach K wants to be Coach Cal -- or, at the very least, he is copying Calipari's strategies and ideas. The latest example came earlier this week when Krzyzweski announced he will hold an NBA pro day for his new crop of talent in Durham. If I'm not mistaken, Kentucky was painted as too much of an "NBA factory" when Coach Cal did that each of the last two seasons in Lexington, but now it is perfectly okay for Duke to do it, with no criticism from the national media. The same goes for the one-and-done system. When Cal was the only one doing it, he was ruining basketball. When K did it, he was commended for adapting to the new landscape of the game. He "reinvented" Duke basketball, many said after the 2015 title. All this brings me to wonder: What's next for Coach K? What brilliant idea will he come up with next? Will he platoon? Will he talk about the importance of changing families and creating millionaires? Will his wife, Mickie, bake brownies for Amile Jefferson on Jefferson's birthday? Will he say Harry Giles and Jayson Tatum think they poop ice cream? Will he write a new book? And if he does, will he call it Bounce Back or Success Is The Only Option? coach-k-books Will he open an Orange Leaf? Will he dribble-drive? Will he ask his Blue Devils to be their brother's keeper? Will he do an in-home visit in a barbershop? When will he bring back every former Duke player for Countdown to Craziness or hold an alumni game after his fantasy camp? Here's an idea... What about a celebrity softball game? k-soft It could raise money for charity! How long until he throws a rock into a pack of dogs to hear which one yelps? When will he preach servant leadership? What player will he read The Energy Bus with? Which Drake concert will he attend? And will he be VIP or buy his ticket online? Has he been to Steelers training camp yet? What about a Yankees game? Will Grayson Allen take the fourth most shots?     Whatever Coach K's next move is, you can bet John Calipari has already made the same move. There's clearly a trend here.
