GREAT news: college basketball will start even earlier next season.
Today, the NCAA Division I Council approved legislation to move the starting date of the 2018-19 season to the Tuesday before the second Friday of November, meaning Kentucky’s season will start on Tuesday, November 6 instead of Friday, November 9. In turn, teams may begin practicing the Tuesday before the second Saturday of October, so, October 9.
With most of Kentucky’s roster expected back, an exciting new freshman class coming in, and a foreign trip to get a head start on it all, next season is shaping up to be another perfect storm. Bring it on.
