Contract Details for New Kentucky Head Football Coach Will Stein
It’s been a wild week for the Kentucky football program. The Wildcats have a new head coach. Now, we have a better idea of how Will Stein will be compensated.
Shortly after the hire was announced, KSR reported the deal was for five years. Today UK released more details about Stein’s first contract.
The 36-year-old Stein becomes the youngest head coach in the SEC. He’s replacing Mark Stoops, who was the longest-tenured coach in the league. After a 2022 contract extension, Mark Stoops was making roughly $9 million annually.
