The Miami Heat are facing a bit of uncertainty this summer as veteran Dwayne Wade is considering taking his talents out of South Beach. With Goran Dragic also contemplating departure, the Heat could find themselves in need of a guard with their 10th pick in this summer's draft. Assuming that Deangelo Russell, Emmanuel Mudiay, and Mario Hezonja (the three guards projected to go ahead of Devin) have already been selected — Booker to the Heat at #10 might be a pretty good bet. Devin already interviewed with the Heat’s head hancho - and fellow Kentucky alum - Pat Riley at the Draft Combine this month. Here’s what he had to say of their talk:
“(It was) a great, great meeting. It’s humbling. He said D-Wade is getting older now, is on the last part of his career, and come and learn from him. And I thought that would be a great fit for me and I’m willing to learn from all veterans, especially one of the best two-guards to ever play the game.”
At 18 years old, Devin could certainly use some time with a mentor like Wade. Still, if D-Wade decides to leave Miami, the Riley-Booker connection may be worth rooting for in the upcoming years. Or, maybe you’d prefer one of the other teams with multiple Wildcats.  The list should only keep growing.
