2013 Elite 24 The most notable package deal thus far in the 2014 class is between Tyus Jones and Jahlil Okafor, but another one may be on the horizon. According to Adam Zagoira, 2014 small forwards Stanley Johnson and Justise Winslow are discussing playing together at the next level, and both have Kentucky on their list. Johnson told Zagoria:
“We got a couple of similar schools on our lists and I think together we can do something real special in college. Me and him think similarly so me and him are really talking about it, trying to get a decision done. It’s all about how the college feels about it. We want to do it, we’re committed to each other. As long as the college is OK with it and they’re seeing it the way we’re seeing it, then we can make it happen. But if it doesn’t happen that way, then we’re not going to do it.”
Johnson and Winslow also have Arizona and Florida in common on their lists, and Winslow also mentioned Kansas as a possible destination for them both. Johnson (ranked 8th in the nation by Rivals) will visit Kentucky in October for Big Blue Madness, while Winslow (ranked 16th in the nation by Rivals) doesn't have any trips to the Bluegrass planned (yet). How good could they be at the next level? Johnson says they'd be "the best one-two punch in the country." Let's find out.
