Kentucky's football team traveled to Hattiesburg on Saturday for a rematch with Southern Miss. Let's look back at some fun game photos from Kentucky's win courtesy of KSR's photographer, Dr. Michael Huang. The story of the game was definitely the play of the UK defense. Denzil Ware recovered two fumbles and returned one for an important touchdown. Darius West also made his presence felt in his first game back from missing the 2016 season due to an injury.

West caused the fumble that was recovered by Ware for a touchdown.

While the offense struggled at times to move the ball, the Stephen Johnson to C.J. Conrad connection worked quite well. The junior tight end had 3 receptions for 97-yards, including a touchdown. Another bright spot was the play of the Australian punter, Matt Panton. The grad transfer from Columbia had 9 punts, averaged 42-yards per punt, including 5 kicks inside the 20-yard line. Two of those kicks were downed inside the 2-yard line. Always great to come away with a hard fought, road win. Now time to get ready for the home opener at Kroger Field against EKU.
