The national story of the night for Team USA will be: how were they losing to Australia at halftime?  The story of tonight's game for the Big Blue Nation is much simpler: why can't they give DeMarcus Cousins a break? After scoring 17 points in his Olympic opener, Cousins has battled more referees than opponents in the previous two games.  He could not contain his frustration any longer. https://vine.co/v/5bwZM9J7lvL Just like the last game, he started strong in the second half, taking out that frustration on the rim. https://vine.co/v/5bwMwlM0YHW The rim was abused again, but this time it took an extra effort to get two points. https://vine.co/v/5bwHu39M0eB Cousins finished his whistle-plagued game with 6 points and 8 rebounds.  Luckily, Carmelo was there to put the team on his back, dropping 31 points to give Team USA a 10-point win over the Aussies, 98-88.
