Current and former Kentucky stars help out this afternoon with Special Olympics

This afternoon, several current and former UK Athletics stars joined together for a great cause. Jack "Goose" Givens, Kyle Macy, Anthony White, Austin MacGinnis, Eddie Gran, Jon Hood, and Craig Skinner were just a few of the individuals to participate in today's UNIFIED event for Special Olympics at Rupp Arena. KSR's Ryan Lemond even got in on the action, acting as one of the event's emcees. At Rupp, several Special Olympic teams throughout the state of Kentucky competed in games against one another, with the final game being a UNIFIED one between the Lexington Wildcats and the Northern Kentucky Wildcats. UNIFIED is a branch of Special Olympics designed to promote inclusion amongst those with and without intellectual or developmental disabilities, where they take the same court or field to play games with one another. Tonight, these Special Olympic athletes got the chance of a lifetime to be coached by and play with some of their biggest role models as Kentucky fans. Check out just some of the footage from the event: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7hcXNtj1mE Not a bad way to spend your Wednesday night at all. Well done to both the athletes participating and the former and current Wildcats for taking part!
