Alan Cutler takes a look into Josh Harrellson's soul

by:Thomas Beisner12/14/10
cutler-gif Over the years, KSR has been introduced to countless personalities.  Some were fleeting, only stopping by for a few seconds of fame, while some stuck around forever.  Two of them, though, found a way to win over the hearts of an entire fan base.  Tuesday, those two got together for a little chat.  WLEX's Alan Cutler sat down with the man they call Jorts to talk about his breakout season, the insane amount of handsome in his possession and the possibility of his NBA dreams coming true.  But, he also got Harrellson to open up about his relationship with Billy Clyde Gillispie, a man he'd still like to ask about why he had to sit in that Vandy bathroom stall.  Here is what Jorts had to say:
"I saw him after he got fired, we talked, we were great friends again. Just how he recruited me, laughing and having fun. I saw him at a wedding, he was a great guy. When you are not talking to him about basketball, he is a great guy to be around. A great guy to know. But, when he talking about basketball and he's coaching you he's tough to get along with. He is one of the smartest coaches I've ever been around. He kind of had a different way of coaching that nobody understood or liked."
So, there you go.  He didn't have to explicitly say it, but I got the message.  Billy Gillispie is way cooler when he's drunk.  Not surprised.
