Mark Stoops announced after today's scrimmage that Darius West will likely miss the 2016 season after injuring his knee.  It is not the same knee that plagued West when he arrived to UK. West began fall camp alongside Blake McClain as the #1 free safety.  Stoops said McClain and fellow senior Marcus McWilson will compete to fill that position.  West's absence will also be felt in special teams where he acquired most of his 17 tackles in 2015. Stoops also reported that Blake Bone is dealing with a hamstring injury and Mikel Horton injured his ankle, one that could be pretty serious.
