Left: Darryl Long; Right: Regie Meant More breaking news from the football training center: Mark Stoops just announced that sophomore tight end Darryl Long will transfer. Long redshirted his freshman season and played in ten games last year as a reserve tight end and contributor on special teams. Additionally, Stoops also said junior defensive tackle Regie Meant will be out indefinitely for "personal reasons." Stoops said Meant is "totally removed" from the program right now and he's not sure if he'll be back at all this season. Last season, Meant had 31 tackles, including 1.5 for a loss and one sack. He was considered one of UK's top returners at his position. While this is a major, major blow to an already vulnerable defensive line, our thoughts are with Meant during what sounds like a very difficult time.
