Davis commitment firm

There has been a lot of turnover in both the coaching staff and the commitment list for the Kentucky football program since the season ended with the 26th-consecutive defeat to Tennessee.  One person whose name will not be involved in that turnover, however, is Louisville athlete Jon Davis, who was the first commitmient of both the 2011 class and Joker Phillips' head coaching career.  According to Chip Cosby, a weekend visit with the Cats, which came on the heels of a trip to Oregon to visit with the BCS Championship bound Ducks, reaffirmed his commitment to Operation: Win, even going as far as to cancel visits to Illinois and Stanford.  Davis, sometimes described as a "Freak on a Leash" ranks as the state's third-best prospect and the nation's 44th-best athlete.  More importantly, he's long been viewed as a pivotal chip in the Charlie Strong vs. Joker Phillips battle for Louisville.  Good news for the Cats.
