liggins-heat Good news for all you DeAndre Liggins fans: Liggins will play for the Detroit Pistons in the Orlando Summer League, which starts on Saturday. Last season, Liggins played with the Miami Heat for part of last season before going back to the D-League, where he was named the NBA D-League Defensive Player of the Year. A good performance during the summer league would mean wonders for Liggins' chances at making an NBA roster next season. Here's the schedule for the Orlando Summer League: 14_sl_orlando_schedule-v1 Word is James Young will participate in the Orlando Summer League for the Boston Celtics. The Lakers play in the Las Vegas Summer League, which starts on July 11, and as of now, it's uncertain whether or not Julius Randle will participate. The Lakers may add some free agents this summer, in which case Randle will have to wait to sign his contract in order for the front office to figure out how to best maximize their salary cap. If they decide which free agents they're signing by the time the summer league starts, the Lakers say they expect Randle to participate.
