Could the Kentucky football team add another homegrown talent this week? It's possible. Jordan Lovett, a 6-foot-2 defensive back out of Radcliff, Kentucky, hasn't officially released a date for his commitment. Still, things seem to be pointing toward a decision in the near future. He's a consensus top-six player in the Bluegrass, and Vince Marrow is taking the lead on his recruitment, according to 247Sports. Multiple recruiting services have listed Kentucky as the current favorite. The North Hardin High School standout wouldn't be the only Trojan to join the Wildcats. His former teammate Octavious Oxendine enrolled at UK in January, and his teammate La'Vell Wright verbally committed to Kentucky on KSR on May 6. Fellow in-state prospect Dekel Crowdus announced his decision to join the BBN on May 10, and the Lexington native quickly took to Twitter to hint at another pending commitment for the Cats. https://twitter.com/CrowdusDekel/status/1261095146537525253 Following Crowdus's tweet, KSR's Nick Roush wrote the BBN should keep an eye on Lovett. "For the last month, KSR sources have been optimistic about Kentucky’s chances to land the defensive back from North Hardin High School," Roush wrote last Friday. "That optimism amplified after his teammate, running back La’Vell Wright, committed to UK on KSR [on May 6]." https://twitter.com/Jordan_Lovett1/status/1258040985352835072 Lovett's current top-7 includes mostly regional schools, with Louisville, Cincinnati and West Virginia all competing against Kentucky for the commitment. Missouri, Georgia Tech and Boston College also made the cut. A commitment from Lovett would push the UK program one step closer to landing every in-state recruit from this picture.
