DePaul coach Dave Leitao suspended three games, program put on probation for three years

Once again, the NCAA has decided to come down hard on the nation's elite.
After telling the world they were ready to release their Notice of Allegations to schools involved in the recent FBI college basketball scandal and finally put an end to all the shady business, North Carolina State was the first in line to get their scolding. On July 10, the NCAA handed down two Level I violations against N.C. State and four overall, with all of them being connected to the recruitment of former five-star guard Dennis Smith Jr.
For those keeping track at home, NC State won just four ACC basketball games with Smith on the roster and finished the 2016-17 season 15-17 overall.
Today, the NCAA turned their attention to their next juggernaut program, putting DePaul on probation for three years, suspending head coach Dave Leitao for the first three games of the 2019-20 season, and vacate four seasons worth of wins, ultimately amounting to... 48 total.

The NCAA alleges that a former DePaul associate head coach "violated NCAA ethical conduct rules when he knowingly directed the former assistant director of basketball operations to provide impermissible recruiting benefits to a recruit" and that Leitao "violated NCAA head coach responsibility rules when he did not stop or prevent violations from occurring in his program."
Programs such as Kansas, Louisville, Auburn, and Arizona are also expected to receive their own Notice of Allegations, as well. Eventually. Maybe. Possibly.
Until then, the NCAA is only going after the heavy hitters.
