Derrick Ansley headed to the Oakland Raiders

There were some mild rumblings that Derrick Ansley could return to Kentucky, but instead, he is headed west to work for Jon Gruden and the Oakland Raiders.

ESPN is reporting that the Raiders have hired Ansley to work with the secondary only a few days after he accepted the job as the defensive coordinator at Colorado State. Ansley has been the defensive backs coach at Alabama the past to seasons, prior to which he worked at Kentucky.

Meanwhile, the spot for an extra assistant coach on UK’s staff remains open. Come on down, Ed Reed.
