Devin Leary accepts invite to Shrine Bowl
Kentucky quarterback Devin Leary has never played in a bowl game, but that will change at the end of the month. The super senior will suit up for the Wildcats (7-5, 3-5) against No. 22 Clemson (8-4, 4-4) in the Gator Bowl on Dec. 29. That will be the former NC State transfer’s final game in college football.
After the postseason wraps up, Leary will begin his professional football journey. That next step started this week when the quarterback accepted an invite to participate in the 2024 East-West Shrine Bowl on Thursday.

The Shrine Bowl is college football’s oldest all-star game, and is set for February 1, 2024, after the conclusion of the current college football season. Approximately 130 players from 100 universities are expected to in the game at the Ford Center at The Star (Frisco, Texas) for the 99th edition of the Shrine Bowl that will take place 10 days before the Super Bowl.
Devin Leary will not be the only Wildcat in attendance. Ray Davis will be joining the quarterback after accepting his invite to the draft showcase event in November. NFL Draft season is almost here, but there are still some college football games to be played first in 2023.
