Dr. James Holsinger is here to pump you up

Let's get political (again) and loosely relate it to UK sports!  Dr. James Holsinger, director of UK's Doctoral Studies at the College of Health, was named by President Bush as a member of the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports today.  Holsinger, who was once a misguided Dukie and later served as the Chancellor of the UK Medical School (1994-2003), will serve for two years and will....well, I'm not sure.  He'll probably try to make school lunches healthier and PE classes better but, to be honest, I don't really know what he will be doing, which might explain why none of my former political science teachers are getting appointed to Barack Obama's cabinet.  Hopefully, his fitness tenure will be more successful than the much bally-hooed Scott Holsapple and the good Doctor will figure out how the BCS works its way into his job. You might remember Dr. Holsinger from his previous nomination for US Surgeon General back in July of '07 where he was accused by detractors of being anti-gay and refusing to accept the condom - both things he vehemently denied. Go Cats.
