Drew Barker is hanging up his helmet. The former four-star quarterback from Northern Kentucky has ended his football career.  Barker initially announced on January 2 his intentions to become a graduate transfer.  After further consideration, Barker's father Terry told the Courier-Journal he will remain at UK one more semester to finish his master's degree in public financial management. UK's starting quarterback at the beginning of the 2016 season, a back injury ended Barker's season after just three games.  He returned in 2017 as the No. 2 quarterback behind Stephen Johnson.  Instead of competing for the starting job in 2018, he will finish his time at UK as a student.
