Family.

Brothers.

The picture above has been used multiple times already, and it’s probably one you’ll continue to see for years to come.  While it wasn’t the outcome anyone in the Commonwealth wanted to see, we must face facts.  This team was great.  It just wasn’t our night.  On paper, Kentucky should be able to beat Wisconsin 7 out of 10 times.  Unfortunately for us, the odds were against UK last night, among other factors.

Before we take time to spend this holiday with family and friends, let’s remember the great group of guys who will forever be known as Wildcats.

–  As expected, win or lose, students planned on going crazy in the streets.  It would’ve been much better if it was in celebration, but instead, crowds gathered in anger.  When it was all said and done, there were 29 arrests and a number of fires extinguished.  Get the all the details of last night’s State St./Limestone happenings here.

–  Apparently some people don’t pay attention or read TV listings.  Twitter was alive with hateful comments towards the national broadcast of last night’s Final Four games.  With three different channels covering the game, the “TeamStreams” were not very popular among neutral fans.  Some didn’t realize that they were watching Kentucky’s homer stream.  Take a look at some of these tweets, they’re a good laugh.

–  The USA Today called last night’s game the crescendo of awful tournament officiating.  We already knew that, but here’s what they felt were the worst.  In my opinion, the whole thing with Lyles was a flop.  Guy gets hit in the jaw, he grabs the top of his head.  That’s why I think the officials didn’t make a call.

–  ICYMI in football news, 4-star QB Austin Kendall has Kentucky in his final three.  It appears that it’ll be a recruiting battle between the Stoops brothers, as he’s listed Oklahoma as his top school as of now.  Take a look at his highlights and a few comments on his recruitment here.
