In fact, it was one of the best Week 1 performances among quarterbacks nationwide and he earned national recognition for it. The Manning Award named Glass one of its eight Quarterbacks of the Week for Glass' performance on the road against Coastal Carolina. A dual-threat quarterback (groan), Glass nearly threw a perfect game, connecting on 20 of his 22 passing attempts for three touchdowns, while rushing the ball seven times with another touchdown on the ground. He accounted for all four of Eastern Michigan's touchdowns in the 30-23 victory. Glass now leads the country in completion percentage and he extended his streak of games without throwing an interception to five. At this time I will remind you that Eastern Michigan played Coastal Carolina last weekend. The same Coastal Carolina that was ranked 125th out of 130 college football teams in the preseason. Don't be afraid of Mike Glass III; just make a note of his Week 1 stats and Manning recognition.
