Eli Manning's statement on the passing of Jared Lorenzen

Eli Manning was Jared Lorenzen’s teammate on the New York Giants from 2004-07. He released this statement to Matt Jones on Jared’s passing.
“Jared was a great teammate and friend. We competed against each other in college and came to the Giants together in 2004. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. I will always remember his competitive spirit and his good nature. Jared has left us all way too soon.”
Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone who knew and loved Jared. It’s hard to come up with words right now, but he was a special, special guy who we will miss very much.
