dj-eliot In a Nick's Wednesday practice report a little earlier this afternoon, he wrote about Eli Brown standing out in the linebacking corps. UK defensive coordinator D.J. Eliot said Brown has made his biggest strides in training camp and he has good instincts. "He has a knack of getting to the ball." Well there's another name standing out among the linebackers and it is Kobie Walker, who Eliot said is doing "an excellent job as a pass-rusher for us." Eliot called Walker an "extremely athletic" player with a great change of direction. "He's got a lot of speed and burst. He's tough for an offensive lineman to get their hands on because of his athleticism." Eliot also named Denzil Ware and Josh Allen as a couple of guys "doing good things" in the pass rush, as well as Courtney Miggins on the inside. Walker, though, is a player to really watch on the blitz. The staff has had a lot of good things to say about him throughout camp, and today was no different with his defensive coordinator at the podium.
