eloy Eloy Vargas' tour of China with the Sports Reach team continued today, but the squad fell 106-105 in a nail-biter to a team from Brazil. The USA team managed 36 more shot attempts (100-64) than their counterparts, but each connected on the same number of field goals (36), making for a pretty terrible shooting day for team USA, to say the least. The loss pushed Reach USA's record to 5-2-1 on the tour. Eloy didn't notch another double-double to follow up his 17 and 13 performance, but still got work done on the glass and playing defense. He pulled down eight rebounds and blocked a team-high four shots despite only putting up four points, (although the box score from the game doesn't really add up all the way and he may have had nine points including free throws, four is what we'll go with because that's what it says). He's still averaging close to double-figure rebounding for the tour, which is the area in which he'll need to produce the most if he's to make any kind of impact for the Cats this season. The tour will continue and we'll continue to keep you posted. Stay tuned and have a great Friday night. [Reach USA falls to Brazil]
