Eric Bledsoe got sh*t right last night

We can take a quick break from the melancholy of yesterday's loss to appreciate a happy moment for one of our former Wildcats. Eric Bledsoe was a participant in the Slam Dunk contest last night, and although he did not win-- he had an otherwise incredible night. Bledsoe's second dunk created an eruption from the crowd on hand, including several of the NBA all-stars, as well as a perfect scoring from the judge's. "This is my first dunk contest. To get a 50 in it is a great feeling. Most people don't get the opportunity to do this." Bledsoe seemed to genuinely enjoy the experience. In his third year in the NBA, Bledsoe continues to excel. For a player who is not a full-time starter in the league, the admiration and love for Bledsoe and his freakish athleticism has made him one of the league's up and coming stars. Earlier in the week, rumors were swirling around a potential trade involving the Celtics that would potentially land Bledsoe a starting role. The rumors have quieted a bit for now, but most would agree that it's only a matter of time before Bledsoe really takes off in the league. As if getting a perfect 50 on his second dunk wasn't enough, when the West Team's captain Chris Paul was interviewed after the West's overall win on the evening, he was asked to name his team's MVP. Chris Paul went with his teammate Eric Bledsoe.
