37209991539779 This morning's news that Charles Matthews will transfer makes the 2017 class even more crucial for John Calipari. Calipari is in good position with several players in the class, and even though there's still a long ways to go before commitments start rolling out, Rivals' Eric Bossi is making some way-too-early predictions. Bossi broke down the elite performers at the EYBL event last weekend and predicts that shooting guard Hamidou Diallo and point guard Trae Young will end up at Kentucky. "There’s just a little bit different level of athletic juice that Diallo can bring to the game," Bossi said. "He’s learning how to use his athleticism to supplement his game rather than relying on it as he works to improve his ball handling and shooting." What about Young, who is one half of a package deal with Michael Porter, who seems like a lock for Washington? "At times this spring, Young has tried to shoot his way through pressure and been prone to some silly decisions. In Hampton, he really started to move the ball and took smarter shots. Young still has to limit turnovers, but he was easily one of the session’s premier players averaging 25.8 points, 6.3 rebounds and 8.8 assists per game." As far as Kentucky's other targets go, Bossi predicts Kansas will land DeAndre Ayton, Duke will get Wendell Carter and Kevin Knox, and PJ Washington will go to Texas.
