Saturdays on the SEC Network will look different this fall.

Two of the network’s biggest stars are reportedly leaving the pregame program. The New York Post reports Marcus Spears and Paul Finebaum are leaving SEC Nation. Former Vanderbilt quarterback and Bachelorette alum Jordan Rodgers will fill one seat alongside Tim Tebow and Laura Rutledge.

The SEC Network has been a great addition for SEC fans. Unfortunately for the viewers, it’s also turned into a developmental league of sorts for their on-air talents. Following Booger McFarland, Joe Tessitore and Maria Taylor, the Big Swagu is the latest to outgrow the network to share his voice on programs like NFL Live and Get Up.

ESPN is still searching for someone to fill the fourth chair. After the Booger experiment failed on Monday Nigh Football, I’d love to see him return to SEC country. If not Booger, a Kentucky native could fill the position. Boone County High School and Alabama running back Shaun Alexander is one prospective talent that has already auditioned for the role.
